It seems that the Toyota Land Cruiser is the vehicle of choice for people who want to travel to far off places.  We have been fortunate to supply many of their tents, because they send us updates and pictures.
    Mounting a tent is easy on a Land Cruiser, the early ones have raingutters and the latter ones have a factory rack rated at 150 pounds.  The 4Runner is a little more challenging as the factory rack is rated at 100 pounds.  We use either Thule Aero Towers or Yakima Q-Towers that lock into the doorframes for the first two crossbars.  We usually use a third bar in the rear that uses the factory tracks since many of these trucks are going offroad.
