We have a new Columbus called the Columbus Variant.  This tent is designed to be lighter and simpler.  Because this tent has been going to destinations the designers never envisioned, many improvement have been added to make this tent even better than before.  The standard fabric color is Gray Airtex, Green is still available.

Opens innstantly

Columbus - you won't need anything else! Opening is quick and easy.
Release the latch at the back, the tent will spring open thanks to 2 pneumatic struts (just like those on car hatches) which lift the roof while tensioning the fabric.

Columbus Variant  features a large opening in the back fitted with a mosquito net for greater ventilation or to enter using a rear ladder, also nice for looking up at the stars - Measures: 3 ft x 3 ft. Also new is a special vent system near the peak to give greater ventilation and to balance pressures in high winds.  The ceiling features a net system for your clothes and pockets for small items.

Airtex Fabric - Now Gray in color   Breathable, and highly water resistant.  100% polyester, colorfast, coated on one side with Teflon.  High tear resistance along with light weight.  This is an amazing fabric breathes to minimize condensation but still allows you to close the tent up when wet and everything stays dry inside.  You open the tent up again when it is convenient to dry.  Doesn't retain water when wet

Great Space Inside -  Almost five feet high inside.  Gives a very open and airy feeling.  Room to sit up or change your clothes easily inside.
The small Columbus is a little smaller than a full sized double bed and takes fitted double sheet.  The medium takes fitted queen and the large uses fitted king sheets.
